Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology was established by Sri Muthukumaran Educational Trust in the year 1996 and it was declared as Telugu linguistic minority institution by the order of the Government of Tamilnadu. It is initially affiliated to University of Madras and now affiliated to Anna University, Chennai approved by AICTE and five programmes such as ECE, CSE,EEE, MECH and IT are accredited by NBA. The college started with 4 UG programmes and now it has 6 UG and 7 PG programs. Now five UG programmes, viz, CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical Engineering & Information Technology and two PG programmes, viz, Computer Science and Engineering and MCA have obtained permanent affiliation from Anna University.

Placements are good in this college.Most of the students are placed in college itself.For some other students they provide off campus placements also.Infrastructure also good here.Well lab facilities and class rooms also modern updated.Best college to study with all the facilities.
I was selected this college through government counselling.College environment is really good.Lush green campus.Peaceful environment every where which make us to fall in love with academics.This college is best and i had a great time here.
College is good.Placements also pretty good here.Infrastructure is simply good.College prefers academics and extra circcular activities.So we can get lot of joy here.I love this college.
I studied ECE over there.Really good college.All the facilities and HOD are student friendly only.The risk and do long works for the benfits of students.They will write/Prepare note like students and given it to us.Thats really kind of them.They will help us any time with any technical matters like Paper presentation,Co-curricular activities,placements,Guidance etc.I had agreat experience here.
Fees structure is affordable only.The placements are pretty good for my batch.Our principal and new placement officer are bringing many companies for placements.Many core companies have come to our campus and i have already got placed in such good core comapny.
Good college with best infrastructure and better placements.Best place to study with reasonable fees.
