Annapoorana Engineering College

Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal Medical, Educational & Charitable Trust (TKVTSSMEC TRUST), a Charitable and Educational Trust was started in the year 1981 with an objective to provide educational help, medical relief and public service. The main objective is to foster quality technical and higher education, research and training for students of in rural areas and inculcate a sense of discipline and dedication amongst the youth and mould them into talented and skilled engineers, thereby enabling them to develop deeply into the aspects of modern technology.
The TKVTSSMEC TRUST is operating two Engineering and Management Colleges, three Medical Colleges, a Dental College, three Nursing Colleges, a Pharmacy College, a Physiotherapy College and a Homeopathy Medical College. Its first institution, the Pharmacy College was started in the year 1982. Hence it has around 30 years of rich experience in the educational sector. Its Engineering College at Salem is 27 years old. All the colleges have qualified and experienced faculty members as per the norms of respective statutory bodies and are also equipped with good infrastructural facilities.
