The Padmashree Charitable Trust was started in the year 1994 with a vision of establishing an organization working for social causes. This lead to start Padmashree Group of Educational Institutions to cater to the needs of the society. Founder trustees Sri. T K Narayanappa, Dr. Aswath Narayan and Mr. Satish together nourished this cause and have been rendering their service in this front. Padmashree Group of Institutions has a 15 year record in Academic Excellence. In the year 1996, the Padmashree group had its launch with the inception of the First Physiotherapy College in Bangalore under Rajeev Gandhi University of Health Sciences. With this humble beginning of a single institution with 25 students in the year 1996, Padmashree made an impressive progress with 10 institutions, nurturing more than 2200 students today. Padmashree group has institutions offering courses both under Bangalore University and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Apart from this Padmashree has recognized a research centre, permanent affiliation from Bangalore University and also recognized under UGC 2(f) and 12(b). The Group constantly endeavors to identify and offer additional courses that become contemporarily more relevant. It offers job oriented training programs in Plant Tissue Culture, Molecular Biology, Quality Control, Animal Cell Culture and Clinical Research etc. In addition the Group has the added distinction of being the First College under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, to offer the Bachelors in Hospital Administration, Masters in Public Health, Bachelors in Public Health and M. Sc Clinical Research programs. Padmashree retains the honour of having started BiodHRona an exclusive placement cell for biotech graduates and a Biotech Finishing School with the approval and support of Department of IT, BT, Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka. Padmashree is ranked consistently among the top 20 private Biotech Schools in India. The institution creates a multicultural and multidimensional environment to ensure delivery of quality education and a wholistic & pragmatic approach to understand healthcare and education. Today the institution has students from ten countries spread over continents, particularly Asia and Africa. Extracurricular and Co-curricular activities including cultural activities and sports are an integral part of the curriculum. The Group provides incentives to deserving student in the form of scholarships, grants etc.
