Sindhi college of Arts & Science was established by the Sindhi Educational Society during the academic year 1991-92 as a self-financing college affiliated to the University of Madras, Chennai. Sindhi college was established in the academic year 1991-1992. The college has a sprawling 22 acres site and is housed in an elegant three storeyed building with neccessary facilities in accordance with the regulations of the Government and the University. The college has set up excellent computer labs for UG and PG classes and also good facilities for Visual Communication courses. There are over 1500 students on the rolls studying in both UG and PG courses. There are more than 75 dedicated lecturers in various faculties and they are ably guided by an experienced Principal. A good number of them are from rural background. Besides formal academic instructions, the College also provides ample opportunities for Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities. A Student Councelling-Tutorial System is being offered in the institution and this caters to the problems of students and they are guided properly for excellence in achievements by the tutors with personal care. The College conducts English Bridge Courses along with an efficient Linguaphone System to improve their communication skills. The College has a N.S.S. Unit with one Programme Officer and 100 NSS Volunteers. The NSS and the Youth Red Cross Wing enable the students to get involved with the society and its requirements.
